The Pacific Islands Trade and Invest agency will be meeting with private companies to strike up good deals.

Pacific Islands Trade and Invest trade commissioner Michael Greenslade said they are looking forward to the positive trades with the local companies.

“Our group wants to have a look at the Mud Crab (Fiji) to see their operation in Navua and hopefully to see more export to New Zealand,” said Mr Greenslade.

“We also want to meet Fiji Agro Processing on exporting more Kava to New Zealand, as our guys include exporters and importers.”

Mr Greenslade is among the 25 delegates who are part of the New Zealand Fiji Business Council delegation who are having a two-day meeting at the Tanoa Plaza in Suva.

Mr Greenslade highlighted, they were looking forward to the six day event to visit their good friends in Fiji and look at potential business.

“We also look forward to re engaging with the Fijian government and keen for our private sector to start doing deals,” said Mr Greenslade.

“They have not being doing deals for sometimes but the Fiji New Zealand relationship is very strong. This is a great opportunity to do business in Fiji.”

The group include PITI Head of Investments, Manuel Valdez, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Market Manager, Graeme Solloway, Conway Data Inc regional, director, Patrick Franz and Royal Global Marketing and Distributors (NZ), managing director, Jai Prakash.

“This is one way I want to give back to the Fijian community as there is a lot of positives to export more to overseas,” said Mr Prakash.
