Ministry Staff Use Skills To Spread Cheer

As part of its corporate responsibility, staff of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in all departments throughout the divisions put their skills to good use for community works in seven non-charitable organisations around the country.

In what is described as giving skills for free back to the community, this is different from the normal community work that the ministry engaged itself in and it is a milestone.

The community work programme usually conducted by the ministry involves general cleaning up such as cutting of grass, weeding, digging of flower and garden plots and trimming of flowers.

Now, the ministry is taking this community work programme to another new level by using specialised skills available within departments and giving it back in good faith to our underprivileged brothers and sisters who resides in non-charitable organisations.

With the wealth of technical skills in the areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and energy, these non-charitable organisations surely benefited from this initiative.
