It will be a weekend of triple celebration for Nemani Tuidegei and his mother.

Mr Tudegei will celebrate his 21st birthday today with his family after graduating alongside her mother during the Fiji National University (FNU) graduation at the Vodafone Arena, Suva, yesterday.

“Today (yesterday) is one of the happiest and proud moments for me as a mother after graduating with my son,” his mother, Luisa Kalou said.

“As a mother of seven children, balancing work, family and school was a challenge, but I was able to make it through with the help of God and my family,” Mrs Kalou said.

She is the headteacher of Waidra Muslim Primary School and graduated with Trade Diploma in Front Line Management.

“I am planning to further my studies and I believe hard work and patience pays off,” she said.

Nemani Tuidegei who is the eldest of the seven children graduated with Diploma in Information Technology (IT).

“I am always inspired by my mother’s hard work and to graduate today with her was amazing,” Mr Tuidegei said.
