Mosese Natalainikalou Raqio has been awarded a rugby scholarship to attend Kings High School in Dunedin, New Zealand.

The 17-year-old front row player was recommended by Assemblies of High God School.

“This is a good opportunity for me to showcase my talent and the passion I have for rugby,” said Raqio.

“The two-year scholarship is an opportunity for me to learn and play.

“I aim to play for the Flying Fijians in future.

“The support of my parents and my family has given to me has been very helpful.”

His dad, Vilikesa Raqio, a security company owner, was happy with his son’s achievement.

“This is a big thing for our family,” Raqio said.

“I give all the glory to God for everything that has happened.

The AOG High School hooker left for New Zealand last Saturday, eager to start studies and play rugby.
