Back From leave

Mickey Bird is back from leave and thanks to Dickie Bird for filling in during his absence.

New lease payment

There are only two members alive for the Mataqali Taukei Vunivasili in Kalabu.

For the past years, they have not been receiving any lease money but now they have been advised by the iTaukei Land Trust Board to prepare their accounts to receive their share.

They are registered in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB).

Mickey Bird understands their share had been falling into the wrong hands.

Favouratising

A civil servant is under investigation for favouring an Asian businessman.

A local businessman has been applying for a piece of land to build his garage.

This businessman services government vehicles.

He wants to build a new garage and had applied for a particular piece of land. He was been told his application had not been received.

Upon investigation, Dickey Bird finds out that his file had been withheld by an officer who was processing an application of an Asian businessman applying for the same piece of land.

We wonder why?

Charge the liars?

Can liars be charged?

Mickey Bird read in detail the presentation made overseas by the political opponents of the FijiFirst Government.

In fact, they had not told the truth. They should be charged, shouldn’t they?

Boots on power lines

More rugby boots are seen hanging on powerlines.

Police should check on this, as Mickey Bird has been reliably informed they could be signals to a nearby marijuana dealer.

Now in some areas boots are replaced by umbrellas.
