Murder Probe Trail Runs Cold

Police detectives are stepping up the hunt for leads in the death of a 21-year-old man found unconscious outside Suva’s O’Reilly’s Bar last Sunday.

So far, Police have no concrete leads despite questioning two men believed to have been with Saula Sucu on the night he died.

The two men were taken into custody for questioning earlier this week, but later released.

As far as Police can trace his movements, Mr Sucu is believed to have left his Berkeley Crescent home in Suva last Saturday afternoon to watch a concert staged at the Suva Foreshore.

That was before he was found unconscious outside the Suva bar at 2am.

He was then rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post mortem examination determined that asphyxia and internal bleeding were the cause of death.

Police are treating the case as murder, says spokeswoman Ana Naisoro.

Holland Seeto

Investigations are continuing into the murder of company executive Holland Seeto on January 29 this year.

Police Commissioner Bernardus Groenewald said earlier that the Criminal Investigation docket on the investigation has been referred to the office of the Director of the Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Mr Seeto, 59, chief executive officer of Lees Trading Company Limited, was found dead in office at Laucala Beach Estate, Nasinu, with stab wounds.
