The iTaukei people should take advantage of all the developments offered by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama-led Government.

This statement was echoed by the Vunivalu of Rewa, Ro Epeli Mataitini at his chiefly residence at Lomanikoro, Rewa, yesterday.

Ro Epeli said past governments had rolled out developments, but were very slow.

“Now we have a Government that has offered many developments to the itaukei people and likewise others, but it’s sad that the iTaukei people’s reaction was very slow,” he said.

The Rewa chief said past governments were too involved in planning, but in reality very little work were done for the betterment of the people.

Now, he said, Fiji has been governed by a Government that delivers.

For the iTaukei people, there were a lot of benefits now offered to them, but the sad thing was that they were slow in their reaction.

Ro Epeli is thankful to Government for the support it had made to the field of education.

He said Government had made education very easy with its free education policy.

The Prime Minister, he said, had time and again said Government wanted an educated society and put in policies to make it come true.
