Green Power Saver Lightning store officially opened its door for trading at Martintar, Nadi this week.

Director Praveen Kumar said the investment was at a reasonable cost and their plan is to open a shop in Suva as well.

“One of our dreams has come true as officially opening the doors to the first Green Power shop in Fiji and hopefully many more Green Saver stores in Fiji,” said Mr Kumar.

“Ever since we have entered the Fijian market, we have longing to do so and we know there is lot to be done in lighting, improving LED technology and solar years to come.

Change

He said Green Power would like to change the approach taken in lighting up in homes in Fiji.

“With its extraordinary and diverse range of modern technology, the objective is to provide the highest-quality products thought-out Fiji at a reasonable price,” he added.

Mr Kumar said their future goal was to minimise the difference between the quality of lighting products between Fiji and the world.

“Fiji is one of the world’s most popular tourist destination and a key point on the world map,” he said.

“Technology and trends are changing over time and GPS wants to make sure that our Fiji is on trend competitive with rest of the world.”

One of their main suppliers is Australia-based Emerald Planet.

Emerald Planet managing director Stuart Edgley said: “It is an exciting time for us, to be in energy efficiency in lighting in Australia, distributed in New Zealand and now in Fiji through GPS.”

Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Ram Raju thanked GPS for choosing Nadi as the location to start their investment.

“This spot have been chosen is a good spot which has been booming with development over the years,” he said.
