Labasa Ready To Go

Northpole Hotel and Rentals Labasa is entering the 2015 Vodafone Fijian FACT this weekend with a positive mindset.

Labasa Football Association president Rayaz Khan said his team felt confident about the tournament with the preparation they had put in.

Khan revealed the team had been preparing well for the tournament with warm-up matches.

“The team has been training for the last three weeks and it’s been going really well. They arrived in Suva on Wednesday and yesterday had a warm-up match with the Vodafone Fijian Under-20 team just to give exposure to our boys.

“We had five new U17 players who have joined the team and this was a great opportunity to give them quality game time. As far as I can see, Labasa looks ready fitness-wise and in all respective aspects of the team.

“We’re also very thankful to our sponsor Northpole Hotel and Rentals for coming on board to support us for the tournament.

“All in all, we’re just going into the tournament hoping for the best and we just ask the fans to come out in numbers and show their support for the team. We’re looking forward to this tournament and we’re excited.”

The Babasiga Lions will face Tailevu Naitasiri in their first pool match tomorrow at 2pm while Rewa takes on All Freight Logistics Suva at 4pm.

The 2015 Vodafone Fijian FACT kicks off tomorrow simultaneously at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori and Govind Park in Ba.
