Rewa Methodists Call For Change In Constitution

The Rewa Methodist Church Division will call for a review of the constitution of the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma during the annual conference (Bose Ko Viti) in August.

This was confirmed at Lomanikoro, Rewa, yesterday by the head Chaplin of the division (Talatala Qase), Reverend Savenaca Wilson.

Rev Wilson said their three-day divisional meeting was very successful, especially when they were preparing for the Bose Ko Viti.

Elaborating on their motion, Rev Wilson said they would call for amendments on some sections, especially the wordings to suit the changes happening now within the church.

He said the constitution should go with the changes.

“Our only motion to the Bose Ko Viti is the review of the church constitution,” Rev Wilson said.

He said all church divisions conducted their annual meetings yesterday as they prepared for the Bose Ko Viti.

Rev Wilson was at Namoli, Lautoka, last year and this was his first year in Rewa.

He is based at Lomanikoro.
