After pulling a win in the opening round of the 2015 Vodafone Fijian FACT, Rewa will be expecting a tough game against Northpole Labasa in the second round in Nadi on Thursday.

Rewa upset All Freight Logistics Suva 2-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park last Sunday.

“The win is what we wanted and it is a good start for us,” coach Marika Rodu said.

“The race has just started and our next focus is on our next game Labasa.”

Labasa also won their first game after beating Tailevu/Naitasiri 2-0.

“I watched the Labasa-Tailevu/Naitasiri’s game. They scored two goals in the second half,” Rodu said.

“I know what we have to do on game day and that is to keep things simple as possible, defend well and attack hard.”

While Rodu knows what they have to do on the day, there are a few areas that need to be touched up before Thursday.

“Our players were playing casual in midfield and playing long balls and we can’t afford to do that again,” he said.

“We need to control the ball more and can’t afford to be giving balls away, we want to be the team that scores first.

“All teams will be rectifying on their mistakes so it will be an interesting Round Two on Thursday.”

Rewa will take on Labasa at 5.30pm at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on Thursday.
