Mohammed Hafiz has retained the presidency of the Nadi Taxi Association after their annual general meeting last Saturday.

“I believe members have confidence in me since I have worked with them and have raised their issues with relevant authorities. I will continue to do my best to address their concerns,” Mr Hafiz said.

Mr Hafiz has served on the post for eight years.

“Challenges we faced was mainly with illegal vehicles and operators without any proper permit. That led to my legal members losing business,”he said.

Mr Hafiz said the main issue highlighted was availability of taxi services in Nadi.

“This year we plan to work with the Nadi Town Council for provision of stands.”
