Nadi FA president Navneeda Gounder confirmed the nippy Tavua native was expected to lift their defensive play.

“That is good news for fans, the team did miss him because of his two-match suspension,” said Gounder.

“He is in good form and should be our main man in defence as we chase our third title win in a row.”

Former Navua and Lautoka defender Iliesa Lino who took over the role against Nadroga is likely to be relegated to the bench to make room for Jese.

Jese is expected to partner with stalwart Eliki Ravosai and Ame Votonui. In midfield are Vuniuci Tikomaimereke, Munit Krishna and former Tailevu/Naitasiri midfielder Vikranth Chandra.

“We will play according to our game plan and we know Lautoka will come with counter attacks but if we give them the opportunity they will score but we have to stop their attacks even before they launch it,” he added.

In form Samuela Drudru is to partner with Afraaz Ali upfront since Semesa Muadonu needs time to settle in.

“As defending champions we need not to be carried away when we are pressured,” Gounder said.

Nadi take on Lautoka at 7.30pm.
