Church Hosts Special Service

Christians around our country celebrated Mother’s Day yesterday with church services lead by mothers.

The 46-member women’s fellowship of Ratu Filimoni Kubukawa Methodist Women’s Fellowship at Wakanisila, Nasinu, celebrated Mother’s Day with a full church service.

Fellowship Leader Kesa Waqatairewa said they were remembering all mother’s around the world and even those families who have lost their mothers.

All Methodist churches around Fiji and Rotuma celebrated Mother’s Day with a full service.

“We, as mothers, get this special Sunday once a year to preach the word of God to our children, grandchildren and our husbands. The service is always special,” Mrs Waqatairewa said.

She said the Sunday service was even extra special because the church farewelled all the children who would resume school tomorrow after a two-week break.

Sainimili Dabea, also a member of the Ratu Filimoni Kubukawa Methodist Women’s Fellowship, said that the service could not have been made possible if it wasn’t for the Almighty.
