New Ground Handling Firm For Fiji Airways NZ Operations

Fiji Airways, has appointed Aero-Care Flight Support as its new ground handling company across its New Zealand operations.

This includes operations related to ramp and customer services, aircraft cleaning and baggage claim in Auckland, Christchurch and the national carrier’s soon-to-be launched Wellington services.

Aero-Care was selected after a tender process.

Fiji Airways board director, Stefan Pichler, said: “We are excited to enter into a new partnership with an experienced ground handling company like Aero-Care for our New Zealand operations.

“Customer service and on-time performance are key deliverables for us so we want to work with partners like Aero-Care that recognise and understand our service requirements, this is very important to us.”

Jason Gray, Aero-Care’s New Zealand director, said: We are proud to have been selected by Fiji Airways to partner in the exciting future of this innovative and progressive airline.

“We know that Aero-care’s high standards in customer service and operational performance will compliment Fiji Airways who are well-recognised for their extremely positive customer experience.

Aero-Care will begin handling Fiji Airways flights from Wellington from the outset (June 25) and take over Auckland and Christchurch operations from September 1.

Fiji Airways flies 15 times a week from Auckland, once from Christchurch (increasing to two per week from June 23) and twice from Wellington (upon commencement on June 25).
