Smith To Speak At FIA On Board, Management Working Together

The level of involvement of boards in the day-to-day running of a business has always been a contentious issue.
A chief executive would like to run the business according to his/her capabilities.
Then there are the board directors who approve/disapprove the proposals by the management.
So where can the line be drawn? The board and management both feel they are doing what is best for the company.
This is what Janine Smith, with her wide ranging knowledge and expertise as a result of her experience as a CEO, executive/independent director, will be shedding light during a forum tomorrow.
She is one of the international speakers during the 2015 Fiji Institute of Accountants FIA Congress which starts tomorrow at the Shangri-La’s Fiji Resort.
She’ll be speaking on the theme: ‘Board and Management Working Together’.
