20 At SODELPA Meeting

Around 20 people gathered at the Fijian Teachers Association Hall last night to listen to what members of the SODELPA party had to say and air their grievances at one of three meetings held last night.
Leading the meeting, Opposition chief whip, Ratu Isoa Tikoca said the issues discussed were a repetition from Thursday night’s constituency meeting at Nauluvatu Community Hall.
Ratu Isoa said the main concern of their party was to hear the people’s plea and put it in their list as part of their manifesto.
“Our police permits were approved at five o’clock on Thursday afternoon which we were able to conduct our meeting at Nauluvatu even though we had only two hours to get the message across.
“As it is known under the democracy, all appointed ministers duty was to go out and speak to the people, so that is what we are doing right now,” he said.
Ratu Isoa was accompanied by Opposition parliamentarians Ratu Sela Nanovo, Anare Vadei and researcher Jolame Uludole.
