Fifteen chiefs from the Ba province have been chosen as the executive board members of the Bose Ni Momo Non-Governmental Organisation yesterday during the Ba Provincial Holdings Company Ltd’s meeting.

Bose ni Momo spokesperson and vice-president Tui Nawaka Ratu Asaeli Dreu Naevo said there was a positive response from all the chiefs present at the meeting.

“The meeting was mainly about educating the chiefs to change their mindsets, and the chiefs were happy because the main purpose of this organisation is to finance the Bose ni Momo,” he said.

Appointed members started by giving their contribution of $100 per person.

Mr Naevo said there was also a good response about the business plan presentation.

“We will be looking at mainly the financial side and then go onto development; areas we are targeting to develop in the province are the education sector and infrastructure,”he said.

“We will also look for assets for development and will have a meeting every three months just to monitor the progress; we will also have our own advisors.”

Meanwhile, the executive board members will be led by Tui Vitogo Ratu Williame Sovasova, vice-president is Tui Nawaka Ratu Asaeli Dreu Naevo, and four trustees have been chosen to oversee financial matters, with Pauliasi Naivalu as the secretary.
