KNOX Wins 4

Inoke Kalounisiga, better known as ‘Knox’, won four awards during the 2015 FPRA Music Awards at the Grand Pacific Hotel last Saturday night.
A proud yet emotional Mr Kalounisiga thanked the organisers of the event and said he was honoured to be recognised in this year’s awards.
“Most of all I’m really humbled. I want to thank God first and foremost because looking back over the years it needed a lot of hard work and determination to get here and to finally gain recognition of this stature is really a humbling moment for me,” he said.
Knox, who hails from Naimasimasi, Tailevu, with maternal links to Rotuma, won the Outstanding Song award with his song ‘Coming Home’. He also took out the Best Composition, Best English Song and the International Achievement awards.
“My song ‘Coming Home’ and its captivating music video, highlights issues that many in the entertainment industry would prefer to remain silent about which is domestic violence and child abuse,” he said.
Knox said while many were asking him if the song was about his break-up, he cleared the air and said it was a description of when he had a lot of questions concerning his faith and beliefs and these questions found their way into a song.
