The Kurabui Warriors started off their Vodafone Cup rugby league campaign on a high at Dreketi High School last Saturday.
The team from Nakanacagi beat Nakalou Raiders 14 – 4.
Coach Pita Ramasima said the team prepared well for the competition.
Fiji National Rugby League development officer North Sanaila Dretivoli said the turnout was poor
“The turnout was not very good and I’m urging other teams to turn up in the next round,” Dretivoli said.
In the other match, Nasigasiga Eagles beat Babitu Bulldogs 10 – 8.
