Playing NZ At Own Game

Sorry! A New Zealand minister attending PALM in Japan was given a taste of their own medicine.
While attempting to approach our PM for “a chat” this poor minister was stopped halfway by our very able ambassador in Japan.
He reminded the minister that you do not just walk up to PM for a chat. Same rules, it is understood, as in NZ. Touche!
O’NEILL IN WAITING
PNG PM O’Neill was busy telling anyone who would listen in the PALM programme that he was meeting our PM.
But this appears to have not taken place with the speed he hoped.
The unofficial meeting Mr O’Neill seems to so lovingly remember was a handshake and hello during the visit to Japan’s Imperial Palace.
Could this all have something to do with some of PNG’s flip flopping attitudes on certain issues?
