In the interim, the airline chartered an aircraft last weekend to operate two of its flights, and will have two more charters this week.

The aircraft was damaged during cargo loading by ground handling company, Air Terminal Services.

Air Terminal Services chief executive, Hare Mani, said it is working closely with Fiji Airways to address any issues that arose from the indicent.

“Because the investigation is ongoing we respect the need to allow the process to take its course without further commentary,” he said.

“ATS sincerely regrets the inconvenience and frustration caused to the travelling public, and Fiji Airways.

“We are committed to a thorough examination of the factors that led to this event in order to prevent such damage and disruption in future.”
