Airbus Expected To Return On Monday

Fiji Airways has confirmed its A330 aircraft which got damaged in a tarmac incident on May 16 is expected to return to service from Monday June 1.

The will follow the completion of repair works in Brisbane, the national airline said in a statement.

The A330 is expected to operate a Sydney-Nadi service on Monday, and the airline anticipates a return to normal schedules on Tuesday June 2.

In the meantime, some Fiji Airways’ flights will continue to be affected.

Two Fiji Airways flights between Sydney and Nadi tomorrow will be operated by chartered aircraft, as the airline attempts to minimise disruptions.

Fiji Airways says it understands the disappointment and frustrations of its passengers who have experienced delays and disruptions in this two-week period.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience which was caused by its aircraft being out of service, and thank our passengers for their patience and understanding,” it said.
