One of tourism’s seasoned players in the industry, Jack Stark, has joined Nadi Bay Resort as the new general manager.

Mr Stark has over 35 years of experience in the industry having worked at the Warwick International Hotel on Coral Coast including its associated properties.

He is confident to lead a young and vibrant team at the Martintar, Nadi-based property, He says.

“We have a strong, young vibrant team that is here to look after the needs of our customers and who have the industry experience to deliver the goods.

“We aim to increasing the number of rooms and also use the extra available land mass to build more private rooms.”

“We’re look at increasing our conference, meetings, and event function facilities. And of course, increase our existing market of our three star budget accommodation, rooms refurbishment.

“We have upgraded our room amenities and new menus for our restaurant and bars facilities.

“We are in a growing area of that is famous for back packing and with the accommodation style whereby there are lots of backpacker properties on the beach at Wailoaloa.

“Our strategy is to look out for more business in the local conference market and social events.”

Some areas they will strengthen are on having packaged deals with island resorts for pre- and post-staying guests.

“Having packaged deals with divers and surfers for pre- and post-stay will entice more volunteer and school groups to stay with us in our dormitories.”

The resort is very popular for hosting schoolies from the USA, Australia, NZ and Europe, he added.

The hotel boasts quality service in food given that it was awarded the ‘Best Quality Food for Value’ during the 2013 Business Excellence Award.

The restaurant is called Antoinette.
