The 59th ANZ South Pacific Bowling Carnival began with the Pairs yesterday.
A total 120 bowlers, 46 from Australia, 12 from New Zealand, 2 from UK and 60 localsl, will take part in the week-long event at the Suva Bowling Club.
Suva Bowling vice -president Martin Fong applauded the large turnout.
“We have more participants this year as compared to last year,” Fong said
“It is a great first day and we thank the Lord for giving us a good weather.
“With the record turnout, we intend upgrade the facilities next year.
The Pairs competition continues today.
