Delana Promises Partnership

The Ministry of Youth and Sports will work with the Nadi Sports and Social Club to help promote minor sports, says Iliesa Delana.
The assistant minister made the assurance while officiating in the opening of the newly renovated club at Navakai last Saturday.
“I look forward to working with your club in developing and raising the awareness of minor sports,” Delana said.
“We want to ensure our sportspeople are provided with the necessary environment to develop to be better athletes.”
He congratulated Nadi Sports and Social Club president Mike Jamieson and the executives for their vision and commitment.
“Your persistence to provide the best for club members and the community has paid dividends. This was evident in the investment of $900,000 to refurbish and equip this club.
He commended the club in hosting the Fiji Airways 8th Sunny West Bowls Carnival last week which attracted 120 bowlers including 65 overseas participants.
“That was another milestone achievement,” said Delana.
“It will augur well for you, the community and especially the economy of the Jet-Set Town of Nadi as it will attract more of such tourneys in the future.”
