The Fiji Corrections Service’s Rehabilitation Framework is paying dividend.

Service director rehabilitation Superintendent Salote Panapasa commended the inmates for their hard work.

“I congratulate all the participants for having successfully completed the programme,” Superintendent Panapasa said.

“This is a special appreciation to all the programme providers who have worked tirelessly in providing the programmes that would help mould individuals to become good citizens of our nation.

“The objective of Phase 1 is to instill discipline within them (inmates). This discipline programme doesn’t end today. It is a continuous effort by not only within your period under our care, but most importantly when you are out there in the society where you righty belong,” she said.

The rehabilitation framework programmes are organised by Suva Corrections Centre to help discipline prisoners to become a better person upon their release back to society.

Phase 1 participants were inmates who had recently been imprisoned.
