Police Concerns On Driver Attitudes

Driving attitude is a major challenge says Police chief of operations Assistant Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu.

He was commenting on the spate of road accidents that happened around the country last weekend.

Yesterday morning, there was another accident in Sigatoka where a vehicle veered off the road and went into a waterway.

ACP Tudravu said Police would continue their operations to curb traffic offences and also undertake awareness on major roads and highway.

“Some causes of accidents are speeding, drivers having attitude problems and ignorance of road rules repeated offenders have no change in driving attitude,” he said.

He said Police had recorded two serious accidents on Fiji roads last weekend. Other minor road accidents have not yet been recorded.
