A 30 year old  welder/painter of Lautoka is counting his lucky stars after winning a $30,000 major prize at the Lautoka Tattslotto agency at Vitogo parade yesterday.

Shamil Prasad works has been out of work for a couple of days.

He said his life changed when he scratched the “Fiji Only” scratch major prize ticket of $30,000.

“I am so happy, excited and so lucky indeed, after all I was badly needed the money to look after my family.

“With this I will be able to complete my half finished house, and I was on the verge of selling my van too so that could buy my land but with this luck I won’t sell it now.”

The father of one said the win will help him get back on his feet.

“I cannot believe this blessing has fallen on me and I’m grateful to God. And thanks to Lautoka Tattlsotto for this win. I came to town and went to Lautoka Tattslotto and brought my scratch tickets and won $30, 000. It was unbelievable and I cannot express my feelings.”

Fiji Tattslotto Executive Director Graeme Brown congratulated Mr Prasad for the lucky win.

He said, “I guess that is exceptional good news for him.”

The cheque handover will take place on Saturday morning at the agency.
