Maria Turagakacivi, 26, of Naitasiri, is very excited after been selected to work in New Zealand through the Recognised Seasonal Work scheme.

“I am very happy and excited for being selected in the last group of six to go to New Zealand to work,” Ms Turagakacivi said.

The group leaves today from the Nadi International Airport.

She plans to save some money from the trip to help pay for her education.

“I plan to further my study which is the main reason of my going. I also plan to achieve other goals and visions that I have laid out for myself.

“I am thankful for this service so for youths out there who are looking for employment opportunities, this is one way in which they can come in to support their families.

“If they have goals or visions, this is one way in which they can come to fulfill their purpose whatever they may be because there are opportunities which they can grab.

“I went through the usual processes in filling out the required forms after which there was a waiting period.”

Ms Turagakacivi thanked the Lord, and her family for their support.
