The official casting for the Miss World Fiji 2015 takes place on Saturday at TappooCity, Level 4 in Suva.

Organisers are on the lookout for Fiji’s next representative to the 65th Miss World contest on December 19 in Sanya, China.

The reigning Miss World Fiji, Charlene Tafuna’i, is calling on young Fijian women to be part of the largest beauty platform in the world.

“I never imagined myself to be Miss World Fiji yet alone enter the contest last year. I was scouted by the organisers in downtown Suva as I was accompanying my sisters to the Coca-Cola games,” she said.

“The experience has been amazing and I have visited many different places including meeting interesting people during my reign,” Miss Tafuna’i said.

The organisers are looking for young Fijian women, between the ages of 17 and 24 years, is not married and has a valid passport to travel and represent Fiji on the largest beauty platform in the world can audition.

Ten finalists will be selected to compete at the Miss World Fiji contest that will be staged from July 20 to 25 at The Pearl South Pacific Resort in Deuba.

“I had the exciting opportunity of traveling to London last year for the Miss World finals and the whole experience changed my life. I made lifelong friendships with young ambitious women from across the World and I got to experience many different cultures during the contest,” Miss Tafuna’i said.

The top 10 finalists chosen on Saturday will be revealed to the world after the official ‘big reveal’ photo shoot planned for later this month with photographer, Jason Chute.

Last year’s official photo was chosen as picture of the day at Miss World, which also received over nine thousand likes on their Facebook page.

The official Miss World Fiji casting begins at 11am.
