Tuitubou Reassures Rabi

The recent visit to Rabi by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou, has reassured Fijians living there of Government’s commitment to youth development.
As the minister ended his official consultation in Nuku in Rabi Island, he reiterated Government’s commitment to reach out to young Fijians living in rural, maritime and remote parts of the country. At the same time, he reiterated the need for the youths to change their mentality and move forward.
“I have heard youths saying they can’t do this and that, but you must change your mentality because the future of Rabi is in your hands,” he said.
Nuku Village elder Jope Qereqeretabua acknowledged that the presence of the Minister showed the extending arms of the Government of the day.
“It is an honour to have a Youth Minister who is ready to hear the voices of our young people and the Minister’s visit has given us more assurance that we are not forgotten in the islands,” Mr Qereqeretabua said.
“The concern shown was a boost of encouragement to the youth to continue their hard work to support the economy of Rabi and national economic growth.
