Another Fijian has scratched himself a $30,000 Fiji Tattslotto ‘scratch and win’ card.

Yet again, it’s someone from the Western Division and this time the smile belongs to Shamil Prasad and his extended family.

Mr Prasad, 30, a self-employed tradesman, was accompanied by his family yesterday to receive his $30,000 cheque officially from Fiji Tattslotto resident executive director, Graeme Brown, at the Lautoka agency at Vitogo Parade.

Mr Prasad scratched the “Fiji Only” earlier in the week that won him $30,000.

“I was trying to get back on my feet after being unemployed for a couple of weeks,” he said.

“I have been having sweet dreams since winning this big amount of money. This will help to buy the land and complete renovation work on my home, which is half complete. I guess luck was on my side.”

Agency shop cashier Shenaz Chandra said she could not believe she had sold the lucky ticket on that day.

“I did not know that my hand is a lucky one too. A lot of people have been buying scratch cards on a bigger scale. I have sold winning scratch tickets such as $2, $10, $100, but was surprised to have someone win this big amount,” she said.

Mr Brown said: “Lautoka agency has been tremendous agent of ours for years.

“There have been lucky winner over the years.”

He said the public should keep a tab on the $22million super draw on June 20.
