Jack’s Nadi remains unbeaten after Round Three of the Skipper Cup competition scoring a bonus point 27-11 win over Tavua at Garvey Park yesterday.

What happened: Nadi fullback Seteraki Tuicuvu kicked a penalty before Semisi Vauvau equalised in the 11th minute.

In the 23rd minute winger Aseri Vatunitu scored under the posts which Tuicuvu converted. Vauvau kicked another penalty for the hosts to chase a 10-6 scoreline at halftime.

Halftime: Nadi 10 – 6 Tavua

Tavua scored their first try in the 48th minute through Waisale Ratoto.

In the 53rd minute, Nadi pivot Jock Luita scored in the corner.

In 66th minute number eight Jiuta Takubu scored again which was converted by Tuicuvu.

In the 76th minute, Aminiasi Nava came off the bench to seal the win for the jetsetters.

Big play: Jock Luita read the game very well.

Star turn: Lock forwards Lote Nasiga and Robert Delai were instrumental in the win.

Comments:

Nadi manager Jeff Tamata said: “We came here not only to win but bag a bonus point as well. We knew  we had to take our chances rather than playing catch up rugby but there were a lot of mistakes but work on it.”

Tavua captain Savanaca Dau said: “We prepared well for this match and we were aiming to win but some silly mistakes and wrong options let us down.”
