Leader of Opposition Ro Teimumu Kepa was a speaker at the Raising Sisters Conference prayer breakfast held at the Holiday Inn Suva yesterday.

The conference prayer breakfast gathered women with a desire for spiritual upliftment and it sets the platform to gather ‘everyday women’ for spiritual empowerment and refreshment.

Conference prayer breakfast organiser Louise Lomaloma said Ro Teimumu, in her testimony, shared about her walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

“She also talked about the challenges she faces as Leader of Opposition and being a Member of Parliament,” Ms Lomaloma said.

A member of the Shailoh Christian Centre (AOG), Miliana Lima, who attended the conference said: “We come together to pray for the betterment of our country and most importantly our spiritual lives and the lives of our family members.”

Meanwhile a release from the Raising Sisters Conference organisers said the conference was open to all women, who wanted to make a difference with women, who are making a difference, through God’s work.

It stated the name reflected the desire to know who we were in Christ and come alongside each other to expand the work in God’s Kingdom as daughters, regardless of religious tags and denomination.

The conference is inspired by Christ Jesus and the divine calling for women to rise up and know who they are in Christ, it said.
