The Billiards and Snooker Association of Fiji aims to host the 2017 Oceania Championship.

“We have great plans ahead and we are trying to host the 2017 Oceania Championship and talks are underway with relevant stakeholder,” Association’s vice president Ravi Narayan said.

“To host the championship, we need to ready 10 tables in one venue.

BSAF president Riffat Bhatti is working with International Billiard and Snooker Federation and Oceania Billiard and Snooker Federation.

“A new committee has been set up by BSAF to improve the standard of sport in Fiji and also to take the sport to the grassroots level,”Narayan said.

Meanwhile, Pritesh Khatri of Nausori was crowned winner of the BSAF Third Ranking National Tournament after defeating David Reddy from the Nadi Sports Club 4-3 at the Fiji Club on Sunday.
