Squatters on a freehold land in Suva are refusing to move after the company had issued them notices.

Now they say they will only move if a court order is issued.

The company wants to help them move and going to court for the order is its last option.

Chiefly dispute

A village clan in Vanua Levu is disputing its chiefly title.

Mickey Bird has been reliably informed that the chiefly title has been claimed by the clan spokesman (matanivanua).

The advice for them is to visit the Native Lands and Fisheries Commission for clarification.
