Timely Donation For Babasiga Ashram

The Shree Tulsi Ramayan Mandali of Sydney, Australia made a well-timed donation of various items to the Babasiga Ashram in Labasa yesterday.

Ashram welfare officer Neha Prasad expressed his gratitude, for the new wheelchairs and walking frames.

“Most of our residents have to share their wheel chairs amongst themselves if we are to take them to some places.

“With these donations it ensures everyone has their own wheel chair and walking frame etc,” she said.

Mandali president David Deo said they were thankful to the Ashram staff for taking time out of their busy schedule to look after the residents.

“We are presenting this small donation to assist the Ashram in its day to day activities because it’s part of our community service,” he said.

“Your services have greatly benefitted the organisation and God himself rewards those who diligently work for him,” he said.

There are 33 residents of the Babasiga Ashram serves homeless Fijians.
