Rewa Wins In Labasa

Coach Bal Sanju Reddy was disappointed after the Babasiga Lions lost 1-2 to Rewa during the Rewa Galaxy Premier League at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.

Elvin Prakash of Rewa drew first blood in the third minute before Labasa’s Taniela Waqa equalised in the 21st minute.

Halftime: Labasa 1- 1 Rewa.

Vodafone Fijian U20 rep Iosefo Verevou sealed the win for Rewa.

Fulltime: Rewa 2– 1 Labasa

Star turn: Iosefo Verevou was superb.

Star play: Rewa goalkeeper Epeli Loaniceva played well.

Comments: Labasa coach Bal Sanju Reddy said; “I’m disappointed we lost this game because we were looking forward to win.

“We missed a lot of opportunities.”

Rewa coach Marika Rodu said; “I am excited, we came to win and we got it.

“The boys made a good effort to win the game today and I should give credit to them but the referee delayed some decision-making.

“Our final standing to be in the second position depends on other results as we have only one game to play.”
