Players, Teachers Get Praise

The Southern Zone Schools Rugby weekly competition continued despite the wet underfoot conditions at the Suva Grammar School grounds last Saturday.
Organisers applauded the effort and performance of players and officials.
“The competition has really gone up another level despite the wet weather,” co-ordinator Navitalai Waiwalu said.
“Players performed well in round two and I thank all participating schools, teachers and parents.”

The Under-14 trophy is likely to be won by the schools in the southern or western zones this year.
“We don’t have any Under-14 grade this year as we don’t have enough schools participating,” Eastern Zone president Mesake Tukai said.
“Lomaivuna, Waidina and Noco secondary schools have pulled out because of financial difficulties.”
