Taking part in his third Rugby World Cup will be tough for France-based player Akapusi ‘Q’ Qera.

The Lakeba, Lau native made the comment during the official launch of the Annual Music Festival at Albert Park in Suva last Saturday.

“There are a lot of challenges, there are a lot of good boys coming up,” Qera said.

“I am fighting for a spot in that flight to England in September.

“If I’m selected, it will be my third RWC.

“First I will try to prove myself during the Maori All Blacks game and the Pacific Nations Cup.

“I am doing my personal training.

“I believe local boys should also be given an opportunity to prove themselves.

“For me it is all about trying to get fit and prepare myself.

“If you put God first, everything will fall into place,” he said.
