The Fijian Under-23 team focuses on their must win game against Vanuatu in the Four Nations Friendship Cup tournament in Port Vila today.

Coach Carlos Buzetti was anticipating a tough game against the host’s side.

“It will be a tough game but I know these boys will give it 100 per cent.

“When we come back we only have 10 days and we will see which players go to PNG. It is not an ideal preparation but it is better than nothing,” Buzetti said.

The side drew 1-1all with New Caledonia on Monday and Buzetti was impressed with their performance.

“It was a very tense and physical game. After a 1-1 draw against Solomon Islands last Saturday, I think it was a bit too much for the players.

“The ground conditions did not help and the intensity in those conditions did a fair amount of damage on our squad,” he said.

The Fiji-Vanuatu match starts at 4pm (Fiji time) today.
