The non-availability of Land Transport Authority staff for scheduled meetings had been one of the main complaints made during the nationwide public consultations undertaken by the Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
Yesterday while handing over a report which was finalised following the consultation, Mr Sayed-Khaiyum made several recommendations on the conduct of LTA staff.
“It is recommended that the Minister urgently review the LTA personnel structure including non-performance of staff, vis-à-vis customer service, implementing zero tolerance policy for corruption and facilitating efficient and appropriate allocation of resources for LTA’s operations.”
