The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee received $6000 and $900 worth of meal vouchers from McDonald’s yesterday.

This is for Olympic Day Fun Run scheduled for next Friday.

FASANOC vice-president Vanessa Kilner applauded the assistance.

“This partnership engages the community and promotes the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect,” Kilner said.

“McDonald’s will also participate in promoting the Olympic Fun Day run which is estimated to have 2000 participants in both Suva and Nadi.

McDonald’s development partner Marc McElrath is happy to support the annual event.

“McDonald’s is again pleased to support and sponsor this special event,” McElrath said.

“I would like to thank FASANOC for involving us in this Olympic run and we look forward to supporting them in the future.

The Olympic Day Fun Run will be held on Friday in conjunction with the celebrations of the inaugural National Sports Day.

In Suva it will start and finishes at My Suva Park while in Nadi it will start and ends at McDonald’s.
