Defending champions Ratu Navula College will be a team to beat in the Coca-Cola Zero Deans West Two playoff next week.

Both teams will feature in the playoffs since they were the only two schools in Nadi which would feature in the Under-18 competition.

What happened: The Narewa-based side hammered Swami Vivekananda College 50-0 at the Ratu Navula College in the lone match in Nadi yesterday.

The Narewa-based side came off to a good start with lock Sasin Narayan scoring the first try in the 17th minute followed by another try by Savenaca Tuole.

The third came from hooker Sekove Tuilakeba all successfully converted by fullback Jope Driu.

Half time: Ratu Navula College 24 – Swami Vivekananda College 0

RNC came back firing in the second spell determined.

A costly infringement caused first –five eighth Viliame Tuidraki to be sin-binned and SVC lock forward Russell Vukinagauna was also shown a yellow card.

The home side then piled three more tries, team captain and flanker Apisalome Nabalewa, Inoke Vasuilagi and locks Sefanaia Volau and Driu’s boot did the magic.

Star turn: Jope Driu was in formidable form.

Big play: Sefanaia Volau scored the last and winning try to seal the victory for the Narewa side.

Comments: Comments: Ratu Navula manager Uraia Bulamairewa said; This is a good show and we look forward to the playoff.

SVC coach Sanaila Roqara said; “We aim to get the basics right, and they have developed a lot since their first game.”
