Lautoka Thrives For New Developments

The Lautoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry has assured a boost in developments in Lautoka city.
This was highlighted by the Chamber’s President Pyara Singh during the Lautoka Business Forum held yesterday.
He said the Chamber is thriving for new developments and is strongly promoting the growth of the local economy.
“The chamber promotes business activities of our members as we continuously strive to bring and promote through various means.
“Such initiatives from the chamber are just the beginning as we will strive to bring you more exposures pertaining to the business environment here in Lautoka,” Mr Singh said.
Developments
These initiatives include the new development of the Tappoo City along Narara Parade.
“This will see more Lautoka and nearby residents getting direct employment whilst creating an additional retail opportunity for Lautoka and surrounding residents.”
He also mentioned the development of Chinese City in Lomolomo saying that it goes to show the confidence large corporate business have in Lautoka.
He explained: “I am confident that Lautoka will grow from strength to strength and now with the construction in progress for McDonald’s outlet in Lautoka. We expect to see the economy grow.”
Land
Speaking on developments, he pointed out the most common requirement of all which is land.
“Without land there is no development and we in Lautoka are blessed with it.”
The forum was a day long event where some landowners were also present to hear out how land can be utilised.
