Police were out in numbers yesterday to ensure the public’s safety in Suva.

Ten drunkards were found loitering the streets of Suva on Sunday morning and were ordered by Police to go home.

Few of them, who leisurely staggered down Waimanu Road gave out a bad impression to younger children who were making their way to Centenary Church.

Inspector Lai Matanisiga and Constable Iosefo Vakasukavono were doing a foot patrol around the city of Suva yesterday.

The favourite drama spot on almost every weekends, Senikau Bar, has improved with an early shutdown with no more crowds and late stragglers to be seen.

These were once a free show spot for people going to church every Sunday mornings.

The number of drunkards loitering on our streets after a night of partying has decreased greatly after highlighted by the Fiji Sun.
