Fiji Airways handed over new uniforms to the nine-member Nadi Junior Golf Club team from the Oceania Golf School which will be playing in the Greg Norman Foundation tournament in Australia.

The uniforms were handed over by Fiji Airways regional general manager for Fiji and Pacific Islands, Robert Rounds at the Fiji Airways Hangar in Nadi.

The team is scheduled to leave for Australia on Sunday, June 28. School co-ordinator Johanna Luita said the club juniors were happy to have received new uniforms.

“This is the first international tournament for the Oceania Golf School students and we are grateful to Fiji Airways for supporting us,” she said.

Rounds said Fiji Airways saw golf as a growing sport in Fiji .

“We started off without partnership with the Junior Oceania Golf Championship last November and this one today (yesterday) is to sponsor a group of kids who will be going to Australia to compete,” he said.
