Boxer Renold Vatuba Quinlan is now the target of Australian promoters as they await the outcome of Saturday’s fight against Ricardo Marcelo Ramallo for the vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) international super middleweight title.

Quinlan who has maternal links in Viwa, Tailevu yesterday tipped the scale at 74 kilogramme as his team prepares to travel to Melbourne where the fight will be staged at the Royal Exhibition Building.

“We’re confident,” Quinlan’s uncle Lepani Wilson told SUNsports from Sydney.

“This is Renold’s biggest fight. A win will see him move-up to the world stage and Renold has worked hard for this fight.”

Wilson confirmed a number of big promoters in Australia are waiting anxiously for the result of the fight.

Quinla recently visited his family home in Nepani, Nasinu. He was looking forward to securing a fight in the country.
