Talk Of The Town

The Vodafone Tebara Carnival queens are taking the festive spirit to the people of Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri and Rewa.
This comes as hype for the carnival, that starts on July 25 to August 1, increases in the areas around the riverside town.
The carnival is back after an absence of 12 years with the theme of ‘Building a Safe and Resilient Community.’
The six carnival queens have been visiting communities as part of their build-up to the preparation for the Carnival.
Chairperson for Queens Committee, Shainaaz Ali said their planning to have this carnival even bigger and better.
“The Queen Contestants had their first visit to the community today in terms of crime prevention and beatification,” she said.
“This visitation is made especially for the public and for them to look forward to the Carnival with a fun family day out,” she said.
The carnival is seen part of rising optimism in the business sector, across the country, as businesses invest in these important social events.
